How get to the Imperial Hotel Tramontano

By private transfer: The Organizing Secretariat YES Meet (Tel. 00390818770604 – info@sitis-conf.org ) can arrange private transfers for Symposium attendees by car (for maximum 3 people) or minivan (max 8 people). A person will wait for guests arriving in Naples Airport of Capodichino and will drive to Sorrento hotel.

By public bus: outside the arrival area at the airport of Naples Capodichino there is the bus stop of the line “Curreri” connecting directly the airport to Sorrento. Trip lasts about 75 minutes and stop in Sorrento is near the train station in Piazza De Curtis. Ticket (Euro 10,00) can be purchased on board from the driver. At website www.curreriviaggi.it it is possible to check timetable.

By train: outside the arrival area there is also the bus stop of the line called ALIBUS (ticket costs about € 3,00 and can be purchased from the driver) connecting Naples airport to main train station “Napoli Centrale”, from where a local train called CIRCUMVESUVIANA can be caught to go to Sorrento. Departure platforms for Circumvesuviana are at floor -2.

By sea: the bus line called ALIBUS (the bus stop is outside the arrival area) stops at Molo Beverello (Beverello pier) in Naples, from where it is possible to catch a ferry or an hydrofoil to reach Sorrento. From Rome

It is possible to reach Sorrento by bus of the line “Marozzi” connecting Roma Tiburtina station to Sorrento. The ticket costs € 17,50. Trip lasts about 4 hours and stop in Sorrento is in Piazza Lauro square.
It is also possible to go by train from Rome-Fiumicino Airport to Rome main train station called ” Roma Termini” reaching Naples at ” Napoli Centrale” main train station (see Trenitalia webpage) .
Then from Napoli Centrale move to  Napoli piazza Garibaldi (same building one level below) and catch local train Circumvesuviana

How get to Sorrento by car From the A3 (Napoli – Salerno) motorway take the exit “Castellammare di Stabia” and follow the indication to “Penisola Sorrentina” or Sorrento. After going through three tunnels, follow the 145 state highway (SS 145) and continue to Sorrento overtaking Seiano, Meta, Piano di Sorrento and Sant’Agnello. To go to the Imeprial Hotel Tramontano, enter in Sorrento by Corso Italia street and at the first big crossing turn right and follow “Porto” direction.

Useful information When you arrive in Sorrento, the tickets for local buses and Circumvesuviana’s trains are available at the Circumvesuviana station, at the newsstands or at the tobacco shops.
